Terms and conditions

These terms apply when you buy from Pool Pond Spa on our online store, poolpondspaonline.co.za, and when you use this website. Please read them before you order.

Last updated 12 October 2026

The short version

  • You buy from Pool And Pond Corner CC, trading as Pool Pond Spa.
  • Your order is accepted only when we email you an order confirmation.
  • Delivery is free on orders over R1,200. Report any damage within 12 hours of delivery.
  • Collection is free. We WhatsApp you when your order is ready, which isn't always the same day. Show the QR code from that message to collect. Sending someone else, or a courier? Send us their details first.
  • Changed your mind? Tell us within 7 days of delivery. The item must be unopened, with your invoice, and courier and handling costs come off the refund.
  • Warranty claims in the first 6 months come through us. After that, it is the manufacturer's carry-in warranty. Every claim is tested by the manufacturer first.

This summary helps you find your way around. The full terms below are what apply.

1.1Pool Pond Spa is the trading name of Pool And Pond Corner CC, a close corporation registered in South Africa. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean Pool And Pond Corner CC, and "you" means the person buying from us or using our websites.

1.2Our stores in Rynfield Value Mall and Brentwood Park are trading addresses. Please send legal notices and documents to our registered address, or by email to [email protected].

2. About these terms

2.1These terms apply to every order placed on our online store, poolpondspaonline.co.za, and to your use of poolpondspa.com. Purchases made in our stores follow our refunds and returns policy and your rights under the law.

2.2You must be 18 or older to place an order.

2.3Nothing in these terms takes away the rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 or the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002. If anything here conflicts with those Acts, the Acts apply.

2.4Clauses that limit our responsibility or place risk on you are shown in a highlighted box. Please read them carefully.

3. Products, prices and stock

3.1Prices are in South African rand and include VAT. Delivery is free on orders over R1,200. On smaller orders, the delivery fee is added at checkout and shown before you pay.

3.2If we make an obvious mistake with a price or a product description, we contact you before we accept your order. You can then go ahead at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.

3.3"In stock" on our online store means the item is available to order. Some items come in from our suppliers after you order. If an item takes longer than expected, or turns out to be unavailable, we tell you by WhatsApp or email, and you can wait, choose an alternative or cancel for a full refund.

3.4We describe and photograph our products as accurately as we can. Colours, labels and packaging can differ slightly from the pictures.

4. Ordering

4.1When you place an order, you are offering to buy the items in it. We send an email to say we have received your order. That email is not our acceptance.

4.2A contract is formed only when we email you an order confirmation, after we have checked the stock, the price and your payment.

4.3We may decline an order, for example if an item is unavailable, a price was wrong or a payment does not go through. If you have already paid, we refund you in full.

5. Payment

5.1You can pay with the payment methods shown at checkout. Card payments are handled by our payment provider, and we never see or store your full card number.

5.2If you pay by EFT, we process your order once the payment reflects in our bank account.

5.3If we agree that you can pay on delivery or collection, we send you a secure payment link by WhatsApp.

5.4If you pay with a third-party option such as Payflex, that provider's own terms also apply to your payment.

6. Delivery

6.1We deliver to physical addresses in South Africa. We can't deliver to post office boxes.

6.2Delivery dates are estimates. If your order is delayed, we let you know.

6.3Please check your order as soon as it arrives. Tell us about any damage within 12 hours of receiving it, with photos, and about missing or wrong items within 2 days, so we can sort it out with the courier.

6.4Ownership of the goods passes to you once we have received full payment.

6.5Risk in the goods passes to you when they are delivered to the address you gave us, or when you, or the person or courier you send, collect them.

7. Collection

7.1Collection is free from the collection point you choose at checkout.

7.2We WhatsApp you as soon as your order is ready to collect. Collection is not always possible on the same day you order, so please wait for our message before you travel. If there is a delay, we let you know on WhatsApp.

7.3Our WhatsApp message gives you the pin location of your collection point, the name and number of the person to contact, and a QR code for your order.

7.4No QR code, no collection. Please show the QR code when you collect. It identifies your order, and we can't release any goods without it. It also protects you: nobody can collect your order with just an order number, and an order can't be collected twice.

Sending someone, or a courier, to collect

7.5Tell us first. You can send someone else to collect your order, such as a family member, an employee, or your own courier or transporter. Forward them the QR code. Before they arrive, WhatsApp us from the number on your order, or email us from the address on your order, with:

  • for a person: their full name
  • for a courier or transporter: the courier company, and the waybill number, tracking number or shipping label for the collection, with the driver's name if you have it

7.6The QR code alone isn't enough. Whoever collects for you must show the QR code and photo ID. A courier must also show the matching waybill, tracking number or label. We release the order only when everything matches the details you sent us. If something doesn't match, or we haven't heard from you, we hold the order and contact you, and any extra charge from your courier for a wasted trip is yours. We look at the ID to check the name. We don't copy it or keep it.

7.7Handing over. We photograph the order and record who collected it and when. Once we hand it to the person or courier you sent, the risk passes to you, and any loss or damage on the way is between you and your courier. Your courier should check the order before signing for it.

7.8Orders from customers outside South Africa are collection only. You arrange your own transport, and any export, import and border requirements.

8. Cancelling an order and changing your mind

Please read this clause carefully

8.1To cancel an order before it is dispatched, WhatsApp us on 061 439 8356 straight away. If the order has already been picked or packed, a reasonable admin fee may be deducted, and payment gateway fees can't be refunded. Once the courier has collected it, it is treated as a return.

8.2You can return an online order because you changed your mind, or ordered the wrong item, within 7 days of delivery. It must be unused and unopened, with the packaging intact exactly as we sent it. An opened box can't be sold as new, so we can't accept it. We photograph every order before it leaves us, and check the return against those photos.

8.3The actual courier cost of the return and a handling and restocking fee are deducted from your refund. If your order had free delivery, the original delivery cost is deducted too.

8.4Some items can't be returned because you changed your mind. Our refunds and returns policy lists them, and explains the ways to send an item back.

9. Faulty goods and warranties

9.1New products carry two layers of warranty. For the first 6 months from the date we supplied them, they are covered by the statutory warranty under the Consumer Protection Act, and claims come through us. After that, any longer warranty, such as 2, 3 or 5 years, is the manufacturer's own warranty, on the manufacturer's terms. The product or product page shows the warranty for each product.

Please read this clause carefully

9.2Every claim is tested first. We send the product to the manufacturer or its official agent, who opens and tests it, decides whether there is a factory defect, and gives us a written assessment report with its findings. We can share the report with you. Please don't open a product yourself: the manufacturer treats that as tampering, and it ends the warranty. Damage from misuse, from installation or use that does not follow the manual, from normal wear and tear, or from lightning, power surges or load shedding is not a factory defect and is not covered.

9.3In the first 6 months. If the manufacturer confirms a factory defect, we offer a repair first, because it is usually the quickest. If you would rather have a replacement or a refund, we arrange that instead.

9.4Courier costs in the first 6 months. If a product is found defective within 7 days of receiving it, we collect it and return it at our cost, once the manufacturer confirms the claim. After 7 days, sending it to us is at your cost, and we pay to send the repaired or replaced product back to you. If the manufacturer finds it is not a factory defect, all the courier costs are yours.

9.5After 6 months, it is the manufacturer's carry-in warranty, not ours. Bring or send the product to one of our stores at your own cost and we send it to the manufacturer, or take it to the manufacturer's service agent yourself. Once it is repaired, you collect it, or we courier it back to you at your cost. The manufacturer decides whether to repair, replace or refund.

9.6Assessment fees. Many manufacturers charge a fee to test a product before they will assess a warranty claim. After the first 6 months, you pay this fee upfront, and we tell you the amount before we send the product. If the manufacturer confirms a factory defect, we refund the fee to you. In the first 6 months we pay the fee, but if the manufacturer finds it is not a factory defect, the fee is yours. We release the product once any fees due have been paid.

9.7A repaired product keeps the rest of its original warranty period. The warranty is not extended. If it fails again, it is tested and handled in the same way.

9.8Products installed by our service team. If our team installed the product, we look after it on site for the first 12 months after installation. We remove it, take it for the manufacturer's assessment and refit it. If it is a factory defect or a fault in our installation, there is no charge for any of this. If the manufacturer's report shows it was caused by misuse or poor maintenance, for example stones or debris in the impeller, a pump basket that wasn't cleaned, a pump run dry, or lightning and power surges, our call-out, removal and refitting are charged at our standard rates, together with any assessment fee. After 12 months, or for products we didn't install, removal and refitting are not covered by the warranty. Our team can still do them for you at our standard rates.

9.9We don't repair products ourselves. Allow about 2 to 5 working days for the manufacturer's assessment, and a further 2 to 7 working days for a repair, depending on the repair and the spare parts.

9.10Every warranty claim needs your invoice as proof of purchase. To make a claim, follow the steps in our refunds and returns policy.

10. Our responsibility to you

Please read this clause carefully

10.1We are not responsible for indirect or consequential loss, such as loss of profit or income, that comes from using our products or our websites, unless it was caused by our gross negligence or the law does not allow us to limit our responsibility.

10.2The advice, sizing tools and calculators on our websites give general guidance and estimates. For an important purchase or installation, please confirm the details with us before you buy.

10.3Electrical equipment, such as pumps, heat pumps, chlorinators and lights, must be installed by a qualified electrician.

10.4Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for harm caused by unsafe or defective goods under section 61 of the Consumer Protection Act.

11. Events beyond our control

11.1If something outside our reasonable control, such as load shedding, floods, strikes or courier disruptions, stops us from fulfilling your order, we tell you as soon as we can.

11.2If the delay lasts two business days or more, either of us may cancel the order, and we refund what you paid for anything not delivered.

12. Your privacy

12.1We look after your personal information as set out in our privacy policy.

13. Complaints and disputes

13.1If something goes wrong, please tell us first, on WhatsApp 061 439 8356, by email to [email protected] or by phoning our head office on 081 337 9654. We will do our best to put it right.

13.2If we can't resolve it, you can contact the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud, the National Consumer Commission or your provincial consumer protection office, or approach a court. We may also both agree in writing to settle a dispute by arbitration.

13.3These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa.

14. Your records

14.1We email you an order confirmation and a tax invoice. Please keep them as your record of the transaction. If you have an account on our online store, you can also see your past orders there.

14.2You can save or print this page at any time.

15. Changes to these terms

15.1We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page when you place your order is the one that applies to that order.
